Amoise Gris 2020
100% certified organic fruit, macerated and spending almost a month on skins. This is from the Mangatahi Terraces, of higher elevation and a bit cooler and more marginal than the other Hawke’s Bay appellations. The wine is light and fragrant this year, a blood orange colour with the usual hints of pear and ginger spice.

Clos Henri La Chapelle Blanc de Noir
This is technically a “Blanc de Noir” – made from 100% Pinot Noir and in a rich and full bodied style of Methode Traditionelle. If you prefer your bubbles on the yeasty, chocolatey and savoury end of the spectrum this should definitely catch your eye. Creamy long and satisfying savoury finish too.

De la Terre Reserve Tannat 2018
The nose has a totally unique fruit profile of blackberry/blueberry notes and an underlying earthiness with hints of fountain-pen ink and a seam of French oak. At present, the wine displays a youthful vibrancy – our experience is that with bottle age, the primary fruit gives way to earthiness and increased complexity.

De La Terre Viognier 2015
Delicate notes of citrus blossom, quince and lychee alongside a seam of flinty minerality on the nose. On the palate, an elegant and refined balance of ripe, clean Viognier flavours and gentle acidity. Flavours of honey, lychee and light citrus dominate. The palate structure is tight and linear with a clean, crisp and long finish.

Decibel Giunta Crispy White 2020
An intriguing blend of 35% Chenin Blanc, 33% Viognier, 32% Chardonnay. Very light, pale straw colour. High notes of white stone fruit and hints of exquisite floral notes, which open up to broader spices and richer tones of ripe peach and red delicious apples. The palate is soft and lush up front but quickly evolves into a racy midpalate and bright finish. Lingering notes in the midpalate of brioche while the finish has a lasting spice and vibrancy.

Decibel Giunta Malbec Nouveau 2021
For this lighter style, the Malbec color is quite a dark purple. The nose is grainy, brambly with hints of violets and tamarillo growing into notes of blackberry and blueberry pie. Some hints of all spice and confection notes also persist. The palate has a lightly spicy attack with a juicy, supple acidity that drives the mid-palate. The wine finishes short and fresh bringing you back for more. Drink now or over the next 3 years.

Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2021
Hand-picked from its own vineyards in Marlborough, Dog Point’s Sauvignon is bright, crisp and super-fresh, more typical in Marlborough style than the barrel-fermented ‘Section 94’ cuvée, with huge punch and verve. Passion fruit is there, with tropical notes suggesting lychee and guava, a touch of capsicum, but really all about the fruit. In the mouth the texture has some richness and mealiness to it, the citrus blast of the acidity balanced perfectly against that more unctuous, tropical fruit into a dry and beautifully balanced finish. Typical and yet not, this is a fine example of Marlborough’s unique Sauvignon style.

Doris by Jenny Dobson Merlot 2019
Unique aromatics, where savoury elements mingle with floral and red fruit notes. A bright and intensely flavoured palate that sings with freshness. Finely toned tannins give strength and identity and carry the flavours to linger refreshingly on the finish.

Dry River Pinot Noir 2020
This Pinot Noir it’s simply delicious, with well-rounded tannins. Initially there is a juicy, plush elegance, with the tannins claiming a more authoritative and luxurious presence, showing off its class and flamboyance. The complexity of this vintage will bloom after five to eight years of age. Please note this wine has been un-fined and unfiltered in order to safeguard aromatics and structure.

Easthope Family Winegrowers Chardonnay 2020
This is our most Chablis like Chardonnay of recent years. And that implies aromas of citrus blossom, chalk and subtle oak spice. The palate has a chalky texture to match the white fleshed peach flavours, natural acidity and sublime, long finish.

Element Merlot / Cabernet 2019
Medium-full bodied, fresh and vibrant. Supported by moderate, fine-grained tannin extraction and fresh acidity. The palate flows with good energy and linearity, leading to an elegant finish of blackcurrants, plums and herbs. This is a finely presented Cabernet and Merlot blend with plum, blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, freshness and elegant extraction.

Felton Road Bannockburn Chardonnay 2020
Delicate citrus flowers, jasmine followed by hints of peach. A substantial but taut palate, honeysuckle, creamy stone fruit and citrus, mouth-filling and generous, but always with nervous tension, then tightening to a stony and saline finish. A definitive (maybe “The” definitive) example of our Bannockburn Chardonnay. Detailed, precise, long and very satisfying.

Felton Road Calvert Pinot Noir 2020
“The characteristic aromatic florality is finely supported by mineral and spice notes on the nose. It’s seamlessly followed by a detailed palate that emphasises precision and elegance. The tannins are evident, but intricately refined and polished. The ethereal mouthfeel echos the aromatic florality with a finesse that we have come to know as unreservedly Calvert.” Producer Notes
