“Thomas Pico’s priority is to achieve moderate yields and full maturity. He picks rather later than most of his neighbours, judging the moment to harvest by flavour and appearance rather than laboratory analyses. Fermentation occurs in neutral wood, concrete and stainless steel varying, like its duration, by cuvée and vintage. Confronted by the tiny crops of 2016 and 2017, Pico elected to retain some of his 2015s for a later bottling, keeping them on the lees in tank for longer, an experiment he had long wanted to make. Pico is extending the Mise Tardive designation and approach to several other cuvées. The Soave “Castelcerino” is a light white wine, with a good freshness and savory aromas, vinified in steel tanks with short aging on the lees. Floral notes and aromas of almonds and fresh fruit stands out from a clear and slightly salty taste. Organic Wine, made with old style artisanal methods.

Flowers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2018
Bright citrus notes, white flower, nuances of dried apricot and hints of flint. Palate is energetic with acidity and tension balanced with flavors of orchard fruit and almond, finishing long and bright. 100% French Oak, 18% new, for 11 months. Aged for three months on lees in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling.
Giacomo Fenocchio Roero Arneis 2019
The light hay coloring is loaded with greenish reflections. The fragrance is soft and complex, especially inviting with aromas hinting broom, chamomile and fresh fruit. The flavor is pleasantly tangy, full and very persistent.

In the mouth it is equally fruity and fresh. Unctuous, sweet and a touch of bitter finish, which gives the elegance characteristic of the Verdejo.

The 2016 Pouilly-Fuisse wafts from the glass with a honeyed bouquet of yellow orchard fruit, lemon oil, confit citrus and beeswax. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, mineral and tense, with considerable concentration and structural reserve, concluding with a long, saline finish.

Pale straw in colour, this wine has a nose of sun ripened pears and wet granite. The palate has a vibrant acidity balanced by a soft, round texture and some pithy character. The wine has a fresh, mineral finish.
Kumeu River Rays Road Chardonnay 2020
This Chardonnay has aromas of citrus peel, flinty minerals and salty seashells. There are creamy, peach-like flavours on the mid-palate, but then it finishes firmly with zesty fresh acidity and a steel backbone.
La Monella Bianco 2019
A playfully bad girl, un-conforming, wild and natural, La Monella is an organic natural white blend of Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. Naturally fermented, and left in old oak french barrels for 7 months, the wine was bottled without filtration or fining. A delicious, generous wine offering tropical and white flower notes underpinned by a lovely citrus acidity.

Lo-Fi Santa Barbara County Chardonnay 2018
Hand harvested and sustainably grown; Whole cluster pressed to tank. Settled 48 hours prior to racking to barrel and concrete amphora. Fermented on the native yeasts, followed by partial malolactic by naturally occurring bacteria. No sulfur used at pressing. Quite an elegant delicately buttery style of Chardonnay. Not about oak, just nice mouth filling texture with a good line of citrus keeping the wine lifted.

The Latour-Giraud Meursault Cuvée Charles Maxime is a very attractive Meursault in terms of price, made by a fantastic authentic house. In the glass, the Meursault Cuvée Charles Maxime is light yellow to yellowish. In the nose butter, nuts, apple and spiciness of wood. In the mouth a round attack, creamy but elegant and with finesse because of the minerals and the beautiful acids. Good integration of the wood.
Michel Leon Pinot Gris 2019
This wine has a beautiful brilliant golden colour. The nose is fine, elegant and aromatic with a freshness which opens up with undergrowth and ripe fruit notes like apricot, peach, plum and cherry. This wine is full-bodied, aromatic and has an great volume. Acidity enables a good balance so that undergrowth and ripe fruit notes can be released.
