This southern star smashes through the palate with green apple and quartz-powder, mineral-driven mouthfeel that lingers long and will send your saliva glands into overload. The citrus intensity is one thing, but the honeysuckle and hints of biscuit really add to the complexity of this wine in the mouth.

Bright florals, red cherry and plum tones are followed with savoury black tea, spice and earth notes. There is a lovely vibrant core to this wine, completed by silky texture and elegant structure persisting in the palate. Cellaring potential to 7 years.

Felton Road Bannockburn Chardonnay 2020
Delicate citrus flowers, jasmine followed by hints of peach. A substantial but taut palate, honeysuckle, creamy stone fruit and citrus, mouth-filling and generous, but always with nervous tension, then tightening to a stony and saline finish. A definitive (maybe “The” definitive) example of our Bannockburn Chardonnay. Detailed, precise, long and very satisfying.

Mount Edward Gruner Veltliner 2016
This is an excellent example of cool-climate Grüner Veltliner. Grown organically on the Morrison vineyard planted by Duncan Forsyth in the late 1990s, this has great purity of fruit and shows the lovely texture and spice that this Austrian variety is known for. Crunchy, apple-y, littered with white pepper and all the things you want in a Grüner. It’s just a great thing to drink.
