Amoise Gris 2020
100% certified organic fruit, macerated and spending almost a month on skins. This is from the Mangatahi Terraces, of higher elevation and a bit cooler and more marginal than the other Hawke’s Bay appellations. The wine is light and fragrant this year, a blood orange colour with the usual hints of pear and ginger spice.

Brookfields Gold Label 2018
The 2018 Brookfields Gold Label is a rich and dynamic wine which showcases dense layers of flavours to aid in this Cabernet’s complexity. The supple aromas of warm, slightly baked fruits, cedar and chocolate all burst from the glass in a sultry parade of flavours leaving you with a long lingering finish.
Brookfields Hillside Syrah 2019
The ‘Hillside’ Syrah is an expression of where it is grown. An intense dark red colour and fragrant – showcasing Damson plums, blackcurrants, black-pepper, leather, French oak and ripe supple tannins engage across your palate. This ‘Hillside’ Syrah is elegantly balanced and is seamlessly majestic – cellaring will reward those with patience.
De La Terre Cuvée II Methode Traditionnelle 2018
A crisp, fresh ‘fruit-forward’ Methode with obvious yeast notes and the minerality typical of our limestone terroir. The stylistic aim was for 3 essential elements: fresh, fruit-forward, and obvious but restrained brioche/bready notes. A strong flavour ‘attack ’showing a vibrant marriage of fruit and yeast influences. The firm and fresh acidity provides balance and persistence of flavour through to a long, clean finish.
De la Terre Reserve Tannat 2018
The nose has a totally unique fruit profile of blackberry/blueberry notes and an underlying earthiness with hints of fountain-pen ink and a seam of French oak. At present, the wine displays a youthful vibrancy – our experience is that with bottle age, the primary fruit gives way to earthiness and increased complexity.
De La Terre Viognier 2014
Delicate notes of citrus blossom, quince and lychee alongside a seam of flinty minerality on the nose. On the palate, an elegant and refined balance of ripe, clean Viognier flavours and gentle acidity. Flavours of honey, lychee and light citrus dominate. The palate structure is tight and linear with a clean, crisp and long finish.
Decibel Giunta Malbec Nouveau 2021
For this lighter style, the Malbec color is quite a dark purple. The nose is grainy, brambly with hints of violets and tamarillo growing into notes of blackberry and blueberry pie. Some hints of all spice and confection notes also persist. The palate has a lightly spicy attack with a juicy, supple acidity that drives the mid-palate. The wine finishes short and fresh bringing you back for more. Drink now or over the next 3 years.
Easthope Family Winegrowers Chardonnay 2020
This is our most Chablis like Chardonnay of recent years. And that implies aromas of citrus blossom, chalk and subtle oak spice. The palate has a chalky texture to match the white fleshed peach flavours, natural acidity and sublime, long finish.
Element Merlot / Cabernet 2018
Medium-full bodied, fresh and vibrant. Supported by moderate, fine-grained tannin extraction and fresh acidity. The palate flows with good energy and linearity, leading to an elegant finish of blackcurrants, plums and herbs. This is a finely presented Cabernet and Merlot blend with plum, blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, freshness and elegant extraction.
Hopesgrove Pinot Noir 2020
A bright vibrant ruby hued wine that offers lovely varietal aromas of big red strawberry, cherry and lilac, with hints of savoury herbs and floral notes. Medium/light bodied palate with a finely balanced delicate structure that slips pleasingly across the palate with soft, silky tannins and generous sweet fruit.
Hopesgrove Silver Lining Syrah 2014
Succulent, rounded with silky texture & supple tannins this wine is deliciously approachable now, but promises to age well in the bottle. Rich, concentrated Syrah with a bouquet of dark plum, berry and chocolate flavours. Sweetly fruity and richly savoury at the same time with this complex aromatic profile.
Jenny Dobson Fiano 2018
From New Zealand’s oldest Fiano vines comes a stunning wine from one of Hawkes Bay’s top winemakers under her new eponymous wine brand. Jenny Dobson Fiano is explosive with red apple skin, hazelnuts and citrus with long clean minerality. A variety from Campania this is a serious, complex expression made with minimalist winemaking.
Linden Estate Pinotage 2018
Dark hues tending to crimson and violet on the edges with berry fruits and earthy tones of dusty forest floor and dried herbs on the nose. Bold fruit flavours are underpinned with a gamey savouriness. Elegant stem characters influence the tannin structure supporting the fruity bouquet.
Maison Noire Chenin Blanc 2020
Elegant with a fresh palate of zesty grapefruit and crunchy apple and a soft buttery finish. This well rounded, full bodied Chenin boasts tantalizing notes of toffee, nougat and coriander. Delicately fine astringency and quartz mineral characters showing good complexity, a vague hint of sweetness, balanced acidity and a generously structured finish
Petane Station Pinot Gris 2018
Selectively hand-picked, phenologically ripe berries are gently whole bunch pressed and, post ferment, the wine is left on its yeast lees for 8 months to evolve. A further four months of bottle maturation, prior to release, allows the wine to rest and achieve its full potential. The result is a Gris that’s deliciously rich and flavoursome with an off-dry finish. As Philip puts it, “This is a serious Pinot Gris that tips a hat toward Alsace with cellaring potential of 7+ years.”
Stonecroft Serine Syrah 2019
“Aromas of meats and baking spices, forest flowers and wild red berries. Raspberry and blackcurrant, earthy with a fruits core, some pepper and sweet barrel wood aromas. Complex and very enticing. On the palate – satins textures give way to firm tannins and youthful acidity. Flavours of black currant and ripe dark berries then sweet wood and barrel smoked meats. Delicious, but young. Best drinking from late 2021 through 2027+.” Cameron Douglas
